Where your file goes
Converting a PDF properly means opening it, so your file is uploaded to our server over an encrypted connection. We are not going to pretend otherwise — you will not find a claim on this site that your PDF never leaves your device, because it does.
What we do with it
- It is stored under a random name that identifies nothing.
- It is never publicly reachable — every byte is served through a check.
- No human reads it. It is not indexed, analysed for advertising, or used for training.
- It is deleted automatically: immediately once you download your converted file, and in any case within an hour — including if you abandon the job halfway.
- A scheduled sweep removes anything a crash might otherwise have left behind.
What we keep
For a short period after a purchase, we keep the metadata needed to investigate a problem or issue a refund: a job reference, the payment reference, timestamps, page count, file size, the style you chose, and whether the conversion succeeded. That record contains no document content and no extracted text. We do not keep your filename beyond the life of the job.
Accounts and tracking
There are no accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no profile to build. We record anonymous counts of steps in the flow — how many previews were generated, how many conversions failed — so we can tell whether the product is working. There are no third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and no cookies beyond what is needed to serve the page.
If you buy a pack of conversions, we send you one email containing a link that restores them on another device. That is the only email we will ever send you, and we do not keep your address — it comes from Stripe on the payment notification, is used once, and is discarded. Our email provider keeps its own record of having sent it, which we cannot erase on your behalf.
Payments
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout and never touch our servers. We receive a payment reference and the amount.
